High Speed Doors

Our High Speed Door is a flexible door, designed for intensive usage, which thanks to its high operating speed diminishes air drafts, work place temperature losses and at the same time optimises traffic flow. This type of door is a valuable investment because it improves working conditions and reduces energy costs.

Our range of High Speed Doors can be split into two categories; fold up models and roll up models.

Our PAT 100 AR and Rekord 400 also include a self-repairing facility which further minimises down time and repair costs if the door is hit.

STAR 250 Arctic

 STAR 250 Arctic
STAR 250 Arctic

The STAR 250 Arctic has been designed to suit an installation inside a negative temperature environment up to –30 deg C.

The flexible transparent PVC curtain is a special Super Polar material that can resist up to –60 deg C.

This allows the curtain to remain flexible up to –30 deg C during operation. There is no need for upright and ground heating systems to prevent ice build up.

The only heating is on the motor to keep the temperature of the mechanical brake stable.

The door must operate every 10 minutes to prevent excessive ice build up.

The uprights and head casing are made from Stainless Steel AISI 304 and are designed for face fitting or fitting within the opening. A movable front cover provides easy access for maintenance. A full width head casing and motor cover is supplied as standard.

STAR 250 Arctic is available for internal openings up to 3000mm wide x 4000mm high.

Opening speed is 1.0m/second.

Safety is provided by one pair of photocells, which will stop the door and return it to the open position should the beam be broken.

The curtain is made from fully transparent Super Polar PVC with interchangeable sections, with an aluminium bottom bar.

Standard features of the STAR 250 Arctic:

AGROPHARMA 900
 AGROPHARMA 900
Agropharma 900

The Agropharma 900 is a new concept for the high speed door market and has been designed for the food and pharmaceutical industries.

The common configuration of steel uprights and a flexible curtain with a safety photocell has been re-interpreted with new solutions for these industries.

Agropharma 900 includes a movable seal within the top casing and provides a good seal between two environments. Air pressure value is approximately 240 Pascal with the door in operation with air leakage of approximately 0.0015 sq. metres based on a net opening of 2000mm x 3000mm.

The uprights are made from polyethylene and the head box is made from stainless steel AISI 304 finished in a white non toxic paint finish.

Agropharma 900 is available for internal openings up to 3000mm wide x 3000mm high.

Opening speed is 1.0m/second.

Safety is provided by a safety detector mounted on the top casing which detects an obstruction and causes the door to stop and return to the open position.

Safety photocells and a safety edge are not required which greatly helps when cleaning down the door.

The curtain is made from flexible polyester with one row of vision panels as standard. Horizontal reinforcement bars within the curtain help to keep the curtain taught. The curtain is available in a range of colours.

Standard features of the Agropharma 900:

  • Self-supporting structure in polyethylene
  • Full width hood and water tight motor cover in Stainless Steel AISI 304 finished in a white non toxic paint finish
  • Low air leakage
  • Easy clean facility due to polyethylene guides which can be washed down even with aggressive cleaning materials
  • Smooth design with no photocells or safety edge
  • Safety sensor mounted on the top casing to one side of door
  • One row of vision panels
  • Reinforcement bars within the curtain
  • Standard control panel mounted push buttons
  • Manual operation in the event of power failure

Options available: (at extra cost)

  • Safety sensor mounted on other side of door
  • Operation by additional pushbuttons, induction loop, radio control, radar (motion sensor), pull cord, etc.
  • Logo on curtain (max. 2 colours)
  • Interlocking door to other doors

Motor and Control Options

The motor is a 3 phase unit with 24v controls and has been designed for intensive use and is linked to the door through an elastic coupling thus reducing vibration thereby increasing the motor life.

Standard protection is IP55.

Manual override is actioned through the use of a hand crank handle.

The door can be operated by photocell, induction loop detector, radar, radio control, push button station or by pull cord.

Electrical interlocking of two or more doors can also be provided.

 High Speed Door Opening Systems

By their design and versatility, high-speed doors can be justified financially as well as practically.

From temperature control to preventing dust entering machinery there are many applications where benefits will be felt immediately.
